One piece of fatherly advice I quite frequently get given is to make a note of some of the funny things your child says, so you can look back on it in years to come. Up until now, the only way I’ve been doing this is by posting them to my Facebook status – something a lot of people do, for obvious reasons.
However, a friend recently suggested that I should start a Posterous blog (or are they micro-blogs? I’m not sure…) specifically for this task: i.e. recording funny things Robert says. So I have.
It seemed very easy to do, though I suspect it’ll have less of an audience on there than it will on my Facebook status. But the beauty of Posterous is that it’ll also post it TO my Facebook status when I update, so in theory it’s double-bubble.
[Note: If I ever use the phrase ‘Double-bubble’ again, you have my permission to punch me]
I’m still getting the hang of it, so I wouldn’t expect miracles quite yet.
How do YOU store memories and the like, in this digital age?
