As a blogger, most of my writing tends to be via a keyboard (or occassionally a touch-screen, if I’m bored on the train) – I very rarely get any time to do much handwriting these days.
So, when I DO get the urge to write freehand, I like to make sure I’ve got a SUPER pen to do it with. And they don’t come much more super than the new Marvel line of CROSS pens.
Now I’m not going to claim that these pens have super powers – if you want to come to those conclusions yourself after you’ve used them, that’s your business. But what they DO have is awesome Marvel decals all over them, and I for one love me a good Marvel superhero.
The people at CROSS sent me one of their ace pens to use, but thankfully, rather than ask me to review it, they asked me to write about my own Superhero ambitions.
Which, let’s face it, is a lot simpler than telling you about the relative benefits of how well a pen writes – how does anybody review a pen?! Anyway, that’s a worry for another day thankfully…
When they asked me to choose which pen I wanted, I OBVIOUSLY opted for Iron Man – because he’s quite clearly the best of all of the Avengers, possibly even the best of the superhero community in general.
Well, except for maybe Daredevil – he’s pretty badass too, and I’ve been loving his Netflix series lately. But I’m guessing he’d make for a fairly dull-looking pen – it’d just be red!
Actually, now I come to think of it, I’m quite liking the look of Black Panther too, especially what I’ve seen of him in the Captain America – Civil War trailer. But I suppose he’d make quite a boring pen too. Hmm, I guess I might have figured out why they opted for the superheroes they did…
Okay, scrap all of that. Wolverine is my favourite. You definitely can’t beat a bit of Weapon X. Maybe he wouldn’t make a very good pen, but he’d make for a bloody good pair of superhero scissors…
Okay – enough of my nonsense. Like the pens? Here’s the part you need to know:
The pens are available in the brand’s evolutionary Century II rolling ball style and also in a Tech2 style, which transforms from a ballpoint pen to a stylus in a flash. The Tech2 series is finished in a metallic lacquer, displayed in a Marvel themed gift box.
