4 Things You Should Do in Benidorm this Summer

Posted on April 25, 2022April 25, 2022 by Henry Elliss

Have you spent a good chunk of the year daydreaming about summer and all the adventures you can have while exploring a new place on the globe?

Well, you and me both! But have you decided where you are going to go this summer? If not, I am here to help you out. I have the perfect place to recommend, and as you might have already guessed this place is Benidorm.

Let’s cover the basics first, and say that Benidorm is a coastal town in eastern Spain. Do not let its size fool you because there are many things that you can do there. In order to have enough time to do everything, you should have a car to take you from one spot to another. Hiring a car with Enjoy Travel will keep your stress levels low as you will not only find the best car hire prices but also travel around the town safely and comfortably. But where exactly should you go?

  1. Go for a Swim

We start with the ultimate summery activity which is swimming in a beautiful sea. Benidorm is the perfect place for such an activity as it is full of clean and calm seas that will make you want to spend all your days there. It is impossible to choose only one, and this is why we will mention two; Levante Beach and Poniente Beach.

  1. Balcón del Mediterráneo

Besides swimming, watching and admiring the vastness and blueness of the sea can make you appreciate life and nature. This can easily happen by reaching the Cerro Canfali rock and walking on the beautifully constructed platform there, which looks like an actual lush and aristocratic balcony. When you reach the end of it, you are left gazing at the Mediterranean Sea.

  1. Serra Gelada Natural Park

Although you will never be able to escape from the sight of the sea, Benidorm accommodates people who enjoy the wilderness as well. If you like hiking, then one of the first things you should do in Benidorm is visit the Serra Gelada Natural Park. The park is a vast area of tall cliffs full of unique flora and cool places to stop, such as the Albir lighthouse. You must bring your camera with you as the view is spectacular. You should definitely find Punta del Cavallo, where there are the ruins of Torre de la escaleta or Torre de les caletes, a watch tower.

  1. Vibrant Nightlife

Most people prefer big cities to towns because the first offer a wide variety of clubs and bars. This entails that visitors will definitely find at least one venue that matches their tastes and they will have a great time. Although Benidorm is not such a large town, you have nothing to worry about in this respect. You will find many bars, pubs and clubs there. In summer, many tourists visit Benidorm, so you can be confident that no venue will be empty.

As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I want As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I wanted to give a shout-out to all the farmers in the local area, especially Brimpton’s own @mbowden1954. One of my favourite aspects of living where we do now is being surrounded by countryside and farm land - and being able to see an actively-farmed field at the end of our garden. Every time something’s being done to the field I’m out with my camera, usually trying to figure out the names of all the machinery - and it’s so nice to see a product being grown right from seed to harvest. I know it’s not easy for farmers at the moment, and I dearly hope ours are able to keep farming for many years to come - so if you have one near you, make sure to show them all the support you can!
