Posted on December 31, 2010February 24, 2011 by Henry Elliss

My Year in Photos – December 31st – "The end", originally uploaded by henweb. It seems quite fitting that, as I reach the end of this #Project365, “My Year in Photos” quest, I should choose a photo that has been ‘enhanced’ using my new favourite photography secret – the iPhone app Instagram. I think I’m…

My Year in Photos – December 30th – "Lego be thy name", originally uploaded by henweb. At the end of a long but ultimately fruitful year, it’s nice to know I haven’t had to grow up TOO much – big thanks to my Mother-in-law for the only Lego set I received this year (pictured). I…

Video of the Day – More Ted and Ralph @ Christmas

Posted on December 29, 2010February 24, 2011 by Henry Elliss

Last week’s choice of a Ted and Ralph sketch seemed to go down particularly well, and in my opinion you can never have too much Ted and Ralph at Christmas. I think I might have cried a little bit during this episode. When are they going to bring out the Fast Show and/or Ted and…

My Year in Photos – December 27th – “Pet shops are dangerous places”

My Year in Photos – December 27th – "Pet shops are dangerous places", originally uploaded by henweb. We went in to “Pets at Home” today, as part of a medium-scale sales shopping trip. Robert particularly enjoyed looking at the hamsters, rabbits and fish – though he wasn’t particularly keen on this tank. I can’t imagine…

Posted on December 26, 2010February 24, 2011 by Henry Elliss

My Year in Photos – December 26th – "Like a sledge-runner", originally uploaded by henweb. The highlight of my Boxing Day today was sledging on the hill next to my parents’ house – a rather small hill it has to be said, but it was perfect for sledging with a two-year-old in your lap! Robert…

As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I want As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I wanted to give a shout-out to all the farmers in the local area, especially Brimpton’s own @mbowden1954. One of my favourite aspects of living where we do now is being surrounded by countryside and farm land - and being able to see an actively-farmed field at the end of our garden. Every time something’s being done to the field I’m out with my camera, usually trying to figure out the names of all the machinery - and it’s so nice to see a product being grown right from seed to harvest. I know it’s not easy for farmers at the moment, and I dearly hope ours are able to keep farming for many years to come - so if you have one near you, make sure to show them all the support you can!
