The second day of my 10-day holiday was spent (mostly) at Shire’s Farm in Maidenhead – a semi-local farm which incorporates a petting zoo, play area and cool little shopping complex (all little local shops – no chains). The last time we came here it was thick with snow, so it was nice to be able to see more of the animals this time – and great to get Robert up on the bouncy castle again. Luckily, we went fairly early in the day and there was almost nobody there – so we got the whole place mostly to ourself. Finally, a benefit to getting up stupidly early!
