Posted on May 16, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – May 15th – "That isn’t an abbey!", originally uploaded by henweb. We spent most of today in Tintern, which appears to be a bit of a one horse town which just happens to have a MASSIVE (albeit ruined) abbey in it’s midst. We were in Tintern to celebrate my aunty…

My Year in Photos – May 14th – "Don’t be such a square", originally uploaded by henweb. Today’s photo was taken in a beautifully sunny Leicester Square, which I passed through on the way to a meeting this afternoon. It was about midday so the sun had broken through the gloom and actually made me…

My Year in Photos – May 13th – “A slow photo day”

Posted on May 13, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – May 13th – "A slow photo day", originally uploaded by henweb. Yeah, okay – so this may well have been the slowest day ever in terms of photo-worthy moments. I spent the entire day either holed-up in meetings or preparing for a big pitch tomorrow, so I only remembered that…

Get a little Artmagic in your lives

Posted on May 13, 2010June 4, 2018 by Henry Elliss

If you’re not a friend of mine on Facebook, you probably haven’t been exposed to my rantings about how good ‘Artmagic’ are yet – well, they finally joined a platform (Reverb Nation) which allows me to embed their music player in my blog. So now you can listen to their first two tracks here… For…

My Year in Photos – May 12th – “Art for art’s sake”

Posted on May 12, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – May 12th – "Art for art’s sake", originally uploaded by henweb. I’m a little hazy over the legalities of posting a picture of somebody else’s artwork on Flickr, but this painting in the gallery opposite the Tamar HQ tickled me so much that I couldn’t help it. It’s called “Blushin’…

My Year in Photos – May 11th – “Dark clouds over Reading”

Posted on May 11, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – May 11th – "Dark clouds over Reading", originally uploaded by henweb. I snapped this photo from Robert’s bedroom this morning, looking West across Reading. I usually open the blinds to see a blaring sunrise, but this morning there were dark clouds on the horizon. I wonder if Gordon Brown awoke…

My Year in Photos – May 10th – “The Naughty Chairs”

Posted on May 10, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – May 10th – "The Naughty Chairs", originally uploaded by henweb. I’m afraid today was another one of those days when I was too busy doing silly amounts of work that I neglected to take any interesting photos – so I snapped this photo of the corridor outside our office on…

My Year in Photos – May 9th – “Robert picks his board”

Posted on May 9, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – May 9th – "Robert picks his board", originally uploaded by henweb. Another reasonably quiet weekend day today, with the main highlight of my day being a trip to a local garden centre with Robert while Sara did her marking. Today’s photo shows Robert testing out skateboards, which he proceeded to…

My Year in Photos – May 8th – “Passed with flying colours”

Posted on May 8, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – May 8th – "Passed with flying colours", originally uploaded by henweb. Being a bit of a grey and windy day, we are spending our Saturday doing what the weekends are designed for – relaxing. Thus there hasn’t (so far) been much opportunity for any interesting photos. I did however get…

As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I want As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I wanted to give a shout-out to all the farmers in the local area, especially Brimpton’s own @mbowden1954. One of my favourite aspects of living where we do now is being surrounded by countryside and farm land - and being able to see an actively-farmed field at the end of our garden. Every time something’s being done to the field I’m out with my camera, usually trying to figure out the names of all the machinery - and it’s so nice to see a product being grown right from seed to harvest. I know it’s not easy for farmers at the moment, and I dearly hope ours are able to keep farming for many years to come - so if you have one near you, make sure to show them all the support you can!
