The strange light show you can see…

My Year in Photos – October 29th – "Plumage", originally uploaded by henweb. Despite actually having taken some (slightly) more interesting shots today, this strange cloud / vapour trail / plume intrigued me as I walked past Chiswick library today, so I had to take a picture. I have no idea what it was though….

My Year in Photos – October 28th – "Sunset over… some houses", originally uploaded by henweb. A couple of busy days in a row has resulted in me resorting to that old faithful of photo topics – the nice sunsets I see as I’m walking home! This one was actually much nicer than you can…

My Year in Photos – October 27th – “This picture is not for sale”

My Year in Photos – October 27th – "This picture is not for sale", originally uploaded by henweb. Whilst wandering round Chiswick today, I happened past one of the many ridiculously-posh charity shops on the high street. Unlike most charity shops in most town, the Oxfams and other second-hand shops in Chiswick are stuffed to…

My Year in Photos – October 26th – "In a dark alley", originally uploaded by henweb. I’m sure I’ve taken a shot of this alley way as part of this project before, but as I walked out of the office this evening it reminded me of the street from the starting credits of ‘Dragon’s Den’,…

Posted on October 23, 2010February 18, 2014 by flickr

My Year in Photos – October 22nd – "Suffering for my art", originally uploaded by henweb. I got shouted at for taking this photo (the owner of the gallery came to the door shouting “No photos of the artwork!” at me) – which seemed like as good a reason as any to put it online…

As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I want As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I wanted to give a shout-out to all the farmers in the local area, especially Brimpton’s own @mbowden1954. One of my favourite aspects of living where we do now is being surrounded by countryside and farm land - and being able to see an actively-farmed field at the end of our garden. Every time something’s being done to the field I’m out with my camera, usually trying to figure out the names of all the machinery - and it’s so nice to see a product being grown right from seed to harvest. I know it’s not easy for farmers at the moment, and I dearly hope ours are able to keep farming for many years to come - so if you have one near you, make sure to show them all the support you can!
