As promised on Tuesday, I spent another lunch time exploring the little shops of Chiswick, on the hunt for a Mother’s Day present for my mum. Chiswick didn’t disappoint in this task – though I still haven’t found a present for her! What I did find were two or three shops on Turnham Green Terrace which sell ALL SORTS of cool and retro stuff – how have I worked in Chiswick for almost 5 years without ever visiting these shops?
You can see an example of one of their shelves in today’s photos. Don’t get me wrong, half of this stuff doesn’t appeal to me at all, but a few of them were stand-outs. Gruffalo pencil tins; Charlie and Lola sticky plasters; Retro tin toys; Old-school telephones; a cool silver-ware clock which I bought for our new kitchen. LOADS of crap, all of which I wanted! This really could get expensive if I don’t watch myself…
