My colleague Sarah and I were up in Birmingham visiting a client today – the meeting went well, but I came out of their offices to find the car park had filled-up somewhat while we were there. That’s my little car in the top left corner – completely blocked in my no less than SIX different cars. The worst part was, as usual with this (lovely) client, our contacts had reserved us a parking space out the front of the building, but (also as usual) somebody had nicked it. When I parked in the corner of the car park, I hadn’t realised that standard practise in this office is to park like sardines – presumably because they all go home at the same time, so it doesn’t matter for them…!
We had to get four different drivers out of the building – the worst of which was the black car you can see just in front of mine at the top left. There was at least 3 meters between the back of that car and the fence behind – as soon as she moved her car back, I could squeeze past at least half of the cars here. Hey ho, at least it made for a funny story for the drive home!!
