My Year in Photos – May 21st – "I am officially old", originally uploaded by henweb. Yep, it’s finally official – I have turned in to an old man. Today’s photo was taken as a result of a very sad situation… The ice cream van you see pictured visits our street on a regular basis,…

My Year in Photos – May 20th – "Treading the pavements", originally uploaded by henweb. I passed this motley crew while walking to the office this morning – they appeared to be filming what I believe they call a “piece to camera”, though the camera they were using didn’t seem to be particularly TV-like. In…

My Year in Photos – May 19th – “It’s @JustinPearse on the telly!”

My Year in Photos – May 19th – "It’s @JustinPearse on the telly!", originally uploaded by henweb. In my admittedly-limited experience, seeing somebody you know on the television *never* gets boring, so it was with some excitement today that I noticed New Media Age Magazine’s Justin Pearse, full-size on our office TV. Justin was being…

My Year in Photos – May 17th – "Get ready for more cake…", originally uploaded by henweb. I was out taking a stroll down Chiswick Highroad this lunch time, when I chanced upon a very exciting sight – a new ‘artisan bakery’ being fitted in what was once a Clinton’s Cards. I don’t think anyone…

As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I want As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I wanted to give a shout-out to all the farmers in the local area, especially Brimpton’s own @mbowden1954. One of my favourite aspects of living where we do now is being surrounded by countryside and farm land - and being able to see an actively-farmed field at the end of our garden. Every time something’s being done to the field I’m out with my camera, usually trying to figure out the names of all the machinery - and it’s so nice to see a product being grown right from seed to harvest. I know it’s not easy for farmers at the moment, and I dearly hope ours are able to keep farming for many years to come - so if you have one near you, make sure to show them all the support you can!
