My Year in Photos – April 16th – "I’m bricking it", originally uploaded by henweb. Today’s photo demonstrates what I was doing at about 6.30 this morning – a time when I suspect most people reading this were still fast asleep. Having got up and had my shower, I did the usual and woke Robert…

My Year in Photos – April 15th – "Lights, camera, action!", originally uploaded by henweb. Today at Tamar HQ we had our resident photographer in to update our collection of press photos – the ones we also use on our very snazzy business cards. It was quite cool, though doesn’t make for a very interesting…

My Year in Photos – April 14th – "Brick by brick", originally uploaded by henweb. Today’s photo was taken this morning when I was getting Robert up, before I left for work. It was then converted in to lego by the Lego Photo application on my iPhone, while I was having one of my regular…

My Year in Photos – April 13th – "A world of knowledge", originally uploaded by henweb. After another busy day at work where I had very little time to do anything of photographic interest, I snapped this picture on my walk back to my car. The Chiswick public library is literally right next door to…

My Year in Photos – April 12th – “A big box of mud”

Posted on April 12, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – April 12th – "A big box of mud", originally uploaded by henweb. One of the gardening jobs we managed to sort this weekend (yet I only remembered to take a photo today) was the clearing of our vegetable box. Well I say vegetable box – unfortunately about a week after…

My Year in Photos – April 11th – “Slow news day”

Posted on April 11, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – April 11th – "Slow news day", originally uploaded by henweb. Being the last day of my holiday, we crammed as much DIY and odd-jobs as we could in to my last few hours off. Unfortunately, they were all rather un-photo-friendly – so subsequently you get a rather sweet photo of…

My Year in Photos – April 10th – “Trellis is more”

Posted on April 10, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – April 10th – "Trellis is more", originally uploaded by henweb. My mission for the day was to get a trellis up on our newly-build garden wall, and I think I succeeded pretty admirably. Well, so long as you disregard the fact that I had to make two trips to the…

My Year in Photos – April 9th – “…and make it snappy!”

My Year in Photos – April 9th – "…and make it snappy!", originally uploaded by henweb. Because it was such a lovely, sunny day (and also because we bought season tickets last time we visited…!) we headed to Beale Park again today. Robert was a lot more spritely than last time we were here, so…

My Year in Photos – April 8th – “What a big election this is”

Posted on April 8, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – April 8th, originally uploaded by henweb. Despite being on holiday this week, I headed in to London today to meet up with a friend. Since I had a little time to kill before we were due to meet, I decided to do a bit of sight-seeing. I took quite a…

As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I want As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I wanted to give a shout-out to all the farmers in the local area, especially Brimpton’s own @mbowden1954. One of my favourite aspects of living where we do now is being surrounded by countryside and farm land - and being able to see an actively-farmed field at the end of our garden. Every time something’s being done to the field I’m out with my camera, usually trying to figure out the names of all the machinery - and it’s so nice to see a product being grown right from seed to harvest. I know it’s not easy for farmers at the moment, and I dearly hope ours are able to keep farming for many years to come - so if you have one near you, make sure to show them all the support you can!
