My Year in Photos – July 21st – "Ooh, that’s a whopper!", originally uploaded by henweb. Today’s photo was taken this evening in our garden, and is of one of the now-massive courgettes we have managed to grow as part of our vegetable selection. For some odd reason our tomatoes have refused to grow, and…

My Year in Photos – July 20th – "The story of Colin", originally uploaded by henweb. I had a very interesting (potential) client meeting in Theale today, though past experience tells me it would be smart not to mention their name in my blog. So rather than show you the fun photos I took in…

My Year in Photos – July 19th – "And….. ACTION!", originally uploaded by henweb. Today’s photo is one of two showbiz encounters I had while wandering the streets of Chiswick this lunch time. I got quite excited when I saw what was quite obviously a film crew and their vehicles parked in the road next…

My Year in Photos – July 18th – "Rapunzel! Rapunzel!", originally uploaded by henweb. In order to break the cycle of Mario Kart Wii / Cleaning / Napping, which seemed to fill most of our weekend, we took Robert to the park this afternoon. Visiting the same park I had been to the previous weekend,…

My Year in Photos – July 17th – “The Climb”

Posted on July 17, 2010August 25, 2010 by Henry Elliss

My Year in Photos – July17th – "The Climb", originally uploaded by henweb. We took Robert along to a garden centre this afternoon – but this was no ordinary garden centre. This (Wyevale) has two MASSIVE kids play areas, one inside and one out. So it’s a great place to take kids when you’re after…

My Year in Photos – July 16th – "Eat my dust, Funky Kong", originally uploaded by henweb. Due to a complete lack of televisual stimulus this evening, Sara and I opted to partake in a bit of Wii action – something we’ve been very lax about for the past year or so. We opted for…

My Year in Photos – July 15th – "I love the rain", originally uploaded by henweb. After the impressively angry storm clouds in yesterday’s entry, today was unsurprisingly very rainy – just like I love it! Thankfully I clocked the clouds as I was parking the car and grabbed my umbrella – so I was…

My Year in Photos – July 14th – “That is one moody sky”

My Year in Photos – July 14th – "That is one moody sky", originally uploaded by henweb. Today’s photo was snapped from my car window, on my way home, just as the weather was turning VERY angry-looking. The shiny new-ness of the Hilton (on the ex sewage works in whiffy Whitley) contrasts very nicely with…

My Year in Photos – July 13th – “The kitchen fairy is back”

Posted on July 13, 2010August 25, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – July 13th – "The kitchen fairy is back", originally uploaded by henweb. There is a long-standing fairytale in the Tamar offices – a tale of the kitchen fairy. According to some staff members, the kitchen fairy comes in the night and clears away all their mess for them. I personally…

As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I want As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I wanted to give a shout-out to all the farmers in the local area, especially Brimpton’s own @mbowden1954. One of my favourite aspects of living where we do now is being surrounded by countryside and farm land - and being able to see an actively-farmed field at the end of our garden. Every time something’s being done to the field I’m out with my camera, usually trying to figure out the names of all the machinery - and it’s so nice to see a product being grown right from seed to harvest. I know it’s not easy for farmers at the moment, and I dearly hope ours are able to keep farming for many years to come - so if you have one near you, make sure to show them all the support you can!
