My Year in Photos – May 5th – "Bond, James Bond", originally uploaded by henweb. Today’s photo is of a piece of graffiti in one of the back-streets of Chiswick. Well, I say “back street” – it’s not exactly the Bronx, especially as the street in question is actually an alley way that runs behind…

My Year in Photos – May 3rd – “Rear window”

Posted on May 3, 2010July 11, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – May 3rd – "Rear window", originally uploaded by henweb. As seems to be the tradition here in the UK, the first May bank holiday was a complete wash-out – small intervals of sun were penetrated by rain, wind and even hail. The man on the radio said we should expect…

My Year in Photos – "May 2nd" – "Ridin’ with Barney", originally uploaded by henweb. So…

My Year in Photos – April 30th – “I’ve done a Wallace”, originally uploaded by henweb. My photo today is a strange one, as you can probably tell. Here’s how it came about: As I was walking from the Tamar office to my car – a walk of just under a kilometer (I checked!) –…

My Year in Photos – April 29th – "I spy with my MASSIVE eye…", originally uploaded by henweb. I spotted the scene in today’s photo this afternoon while glancing away from my monitor – I was a little startled to see a very big eye staring at me from across the room. My colleague Richard…

As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I want As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I wanted to give a shout-out to all the farmers in the local area, especially Brimpton’s own @mbowden1954. One of my favourite aspects of living where we do now is being surrounded by countryside and farm land - and being able to see an actively-farmed field at the end of our garden. Every time something’s being done to the field I’m out with my camera, usually trying to figure out the names of all the machinery - and it’s so nice to see a product being grown right from seed to harvest. I know it’s not easy for farmers at the moment, and I dearly hope ours are able to keep farming for many years to come - so if you have one near you, make sure to show them all the support you can!
