Posted on April 3, 2010June 4, 2018 by Henry Elliss

I’m not usually one for filling in online ‘lists’ – you know the ones I mean: “Here’s 40 random questions, answer them then get all your friends to answer them, but don’t actually bother to read anybody’s responses”. They were the bain of e-mail, and now they’ve become the bain of Facebook notes. But I’m…

My Year in Photos – April 1st – "I pity the fool", originally uploaded by henweb. As today was April Fools day, I had planned to make my photograph somehow themed around that. Unfortunately, the majority of fool gags I saw were online or on the radio, which I figured would make for a pretty…

My Year in Photos – March 22nd – "And….. ACTION!", originally uploaded by henweb. The trendy wine-bar / restaurant next door to Tamar HQ – Sam’s Brasserie – had been closed off and covered up this afternoon, in what is fast becoming a common occurrence near our offices. My Year in Photos – March 21st – "Let’s bring the splash back", originally uploaded by henweb. I finally got round to putting the splashback up today – the weather was nice enough to do all the cutting outside, the, er, hmm, well that was about all that was stopping me actually. The stuff piled…

My Year in Photos – March 20th – "Living in a box…", originally uploaded by henweb. Today’s photo was taken during a very significant moment in Robert’s young life – the clearing of the toys! Due to a massive overspill in his toy boxes of late, we decided that the time had come to put…

Social media – time for a rant!

Posted on March 4, 2010June 4, 2018 by Henry Elliss

This is going to be short and certainly not at all sweet. First up – a caveat: The following is the opinion of this blog’s author and him alone, not the company he works for. Hence why I’m posting it on my personal blog… I know that working in social media means I should be…

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you may know that I was lucky enough to be given an iPhone at work this week. As somebody who previously thought they were a little… Over-rated, I should now state that I will happily eat my words, and tell you that i bloody LOVE the thing….

Posted on February 15, 2010November 26, 2010 by Henry Elliss

My Year in Photos – February 14th – "Romance in the kitchen", originally uploaded by henweb. Okay, so the use of the term ‘romance’ in the title is probably a bit of a lie… We spent Valentines Day demolishing the top half of our kitchen, which is the first part in Stage 2 of the…

As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I want As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I wanted to give a shout-out to all the farmers in the local area, especially Brimpton’s own @mbowden1954. One of my favourite aspects of living where we do now is being surrounded by countryside and farm land - and being able to see an actively-farmed field at the end of our garden. Every time something’s being done to the field I’m out with my camera, usually trying to figure out the names of all the machinery - and it’s so nice to see a product being grown right from seed to harvest. I know it’s not easy for farmers at the moment, and I dearly hope ours are able to keep farming for many years to come - so if you have one near you, make sure to show them all the support you can!
