My Year in Photos – August 19th – "Marketing #WIN!", originally uploaded by henweb. After my criticism of Sainsburys yesterday (which actually seems a bit harsh – quite a few people commented that there were probably reasons for this) I spotted a great use of cheeky marketing today, in the form of Lego. This Lego…

My Year in Photos – August 18th – "Marketing bargain #FAIL", originally uploaded by henweb. I’ve got the next 6 days off (a warm-up to our holiday in France in a week-and-a-half’s time!) so Robert and I headed out to Sainsburys this morning, to do the weekly shop. It was there that I spotted this…

My Year in Photos – August 17th – "What does that button do?", originally uploaded by henweb. I snapped today’s photo as I walked out of our office this evening – this light-switch-box has always amazed me. I’ve worked at Tamar for over 5 years now, but I still have no idea what any of…

My Year in Photos – August 16th – "Boring photo #12", originally uploaded by henweb. The title of today’s photo was chosen by my lovely wife, who couldn’t understand why I’d taken a photo of a traffic island bollardy thing (what ARE they called?) on a path. She’s got a good point I guess, though…

My Year in Photos – August 15th – "Riding the rails!", originally uploaded by henweb. Today we went to celebrate my nephew’s 3rd birthday with a garden party. I think this would have been my sixth toddler birthday party in as many weeks, so I’m getting to be quite a pro now. Though it didn’t…

My Year in Photos – August 14th – "Henry and the chocolate fountain", originally uploaded by henweb. Today we headed over to Wokingham to attend the wedding party of some friends of ours, where this chocolate fountain was one of the central attractions. Well, aside from the happy couple, obviously. I’m slightly ashamed to say…

My Year in Photos – August 13th – "Are they wearing funny glasses?", originally uploaded by henweb. Due to a funny joke which I won’t bother to bore you with, a couple of us at work decided to make a Tamar version of the game ‘Guess Who’ today – a game we already had a…

Posted on August 13, 2010August 25, 2010 by flickr

My Year in Photos – August 12th – "Another side of Chiswick", originally uploaded by henweb. Due to a strange lack of parking spaces in the street I usually park in during my work day, I found myself parked in a whole new area of Chiswick today – and subsequently got to walk through a…

As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I want As today is ‘Back British Farming’ day, I wanted to give a shout-out to all the farmers in the local area, especially Brimpton’s own @mbowden1954. One of my favourite aspects of living where we do now is being surrounded by countryside and farm land - and being able to see an actively-farmed field at the end of our garden. Every time something’s being done to the field I’m out with my camera, usually trying to figure out the names of all the machinery - and it’s so nice to see a product being grown right from seed to harvest. I know it’s not easy for farmers at the moment, and I dearly hope ours are able to keep farming for many years to come - so if you have one near you, make sure to show them all the support you can!
